Chlover’s Garden

Fairy Tales begin with more than Once Upon a Time…

My name is Aitana Rorcshen. I started as an archeologist, I wasn’t famous, I just followed my passion. Along the way, I happened to find someone who shared that passion with me, her name is Rama Deloid. Rama was also an archeologist, but as I came to find out, her motivations varied greatly from mine.

We had just been sent out to do some searching in Kenya when everything hidden began to reveal itself.  After Rama pushed me into a lions pit and I woke up with powers, I struggled to grasp their ability. I was confused and alone, walking through the land of Kenya, only knowing I had to make it to Electric City. While there, I found the mayor, I confided in her my story, then she gave me a place to stay and food to eat. Led on by the will of the Gods I exterminated the Clown Gang putting the mayor’s city into panic.

I left her in search of Rama. I needed answers. All I had to go on were the rumors she left behind. And in every city I visited the powers within compelled me to kill those who who the Gods deemed “unnecessary”. Apparently, in Ahklaham City, Merhí, I was too bold when trying to find out information on Rama: I beat up a few drunks to learn what they knew. The intergalactic news picked up on it and discussed it on their radio show (30:20). I only knew of this when I was miles away in the North Land, sitting in a pub listening to the radio. I immediately became aware of my surroundings, scared someone would know what I am; I looked around and saw an image that had my name on it with red pen scribbled across it:

Chills went down my spine, I had no idea the world had been watching by movements. However, I didn’t have much to worry about as the radio only talked about me in my alternate form and got my name and Rama’s confused.

After the intergalactic news ended, the radio switched to an American station:

I heard the reporters talking about a “young archeologist” that goes by the name of Aitana Rorcshen visiting a university to give a talk. As you can imagine, I thought the only person who would knowingly use my name to get attention was Rama. I jumped on the next flight to the state of Virginia (as cats don’t like getting wet) and then ran on all fours to the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Rama was not there but she had done her damage, the walkway was strewn with my name and “beware” signs, it was even painted on a rock. They knew I was coming.

It was night. I stayed in my leopard form as I crossed the campus. I treaded lightly and remained in the shadows to not draw attention. I soon knew the area by heart and felt comfortable changing into my human form to seek information from the students there:

I don’t know what Rama did to the students who were at her talk but they had very few memories of whatever happened. I could smell her, she had left the campus and wound up in a battlefield plain. ‘How fitting,’ I thought ‘She’s made it very clear we are on opposing sides, though sides of what I’m not sure.’ I ran there, and turned into a human before I entered the clearing, I walked to the center were Rama sat.

I stood there stunned. Then aloud, “Why.” She looked into my eyes and smiled, cruelly. The smile got bigger. And bigger. Until it covered half of her face and she no longer looked human. Her body began spinning, slowly while her face stayed unmoving. Then she said, as she began to fade away, “we needed you, and look how far you’ve come… Alice.”
